Great fun on a Tillamook and Cape Meares Adventure! Oh, and the DMV?

How do you turn the dreaded task of going to the Department of Motor Vehicles into a fun beach day? Go to the Tillamook DMV. I head to Tillamook to renew my drivers license (don’t worry, I don’t bring you along to all that). Jeannette and Sam actually volunteer to go to the DMV with me as we head over the hills to Tillamook to avoid the long DMV lines and enjoy a fun day after the dreaded task is complete. We test out the newly reopened Cape Meares Loop. Our first stop is the Tillamook Bay to photograph some Great Egrets. Then we go over the new bypass road and drop down to see the Cape Meares lighthouse and Octopus tree. After that, we stop off at Oceanside and go through the tunnel to Tunnel Beach on the other side. Finally we head to the Tillamook Cheese Factory for a quick tour and treat before heading home.
