Rebuilding the scenic Cape Meares Loop Road
Since 1877, when the first slides occurred, the old Cape Meares Loop Road was on slipping ground. In 2013, Tillamook County Public Works closed the road. It took 10 years to design, find funding, relocate and build the road. It is now one of the most beautiful drives on the Oregon Coast. Thanks to all the people who made this possible (and you'll meet many of them in the video).
