The ABC of RAILWAYS: Q is for QUAINTON
QUAINTON ROAD Station, on the former Metropolitan Line north from Aylesbury, is the base of the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre. The Railway Centre occupies the entire station site, both sides of the 'main' line, which is still maintained by Network Rail for freight use and occasional charter trains bringing visitors to the Railway Centre. This film, covering a period of twenty-two years, gives an insight into the way the two halves of the Centre and the 'main' line have, in that time, merged to give visitors a most satisfying railway heritage experience.
