I truly believe that there is no one who doesn't like a churro, and if you have it with hot chocolate, I guarantee that you will repeat it. This recipe is very easy for you to prepare at home. Ingredients: 1 cup of water = 250ml (use the same cup to measure the flour) 1 cup of wheat flour = 140g (use the same cup to measure the water) 1/2 teaspoon of salt Oil needed to fry the churros Sugar for powdering the churros Optional melted chocolate or dulce de leche for coating the churros Preparation: Bring the water to a boil and add half a teaspoon of salt. Stir. When the water begins to boil, add the flour all at once and turn off the heat. Mix with a wooden or silicone spoon until a dough forms. Turn the dough out onto the table and begin kneading it as if it were bread dough, but be careful because it's still hot, so you don't burn yourself. After 2 or 3 minutes, it's ready to be placed in the pastry bag, churro maker, or whatever you're using to shape your churros. It's important that the dough is still warm, otherwise it will be much harder to make the churros. Start by making the churro strips and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. You can then leave them as is or make them into the bow shape, which is typical for traditional churros. Heat the oil, but not too hot. The oil should be around 170°C. We need the churros to be cooked through on the inside without burning on the outside; they should be golden brown. Once cooked, place them on a baking sheet lined with absorbent paper to absorb the oil. Then sprinkle with sugar or cover with chocolate or dulce de leche, if you like, and your delicious churros are ready to eat. Enjoy!
