The fallout from the Madlanga Commission continues to reverberate through South Africa’s criminal justice system. IDAC senior investigator Brian Padayachee has denied influencing the attempted arrest of crime intelligence boss Dumisani Khumalo. Meanwhile, Parliament’s ad hoc committee has tentatively found that suspended Police Minister Senzo Mchunu did not act on behalf of criminal syndicates.
