Watching the Sun Set Over the Bernese Alps | Blüemlisalphütte 2840m 🇨🇭

A golden hour like no other. 🌅✨ Returning to Kandersteg always feels like coming home. While the Oeschinen Lake (Oeschinensee) is a world-famous tourist spot, the real magic happens high above it. In this video, we hike from the Oeschinen station up to the Blüemlisalphütte (2,840 m) to witness a breathtaking sunset above a sea of clouds. After a night at the hut, we pushed further to the summit of Wildi Frau (3,218 m). Though the morning clouds hid the sun behind the Gspaltenhorn, the silence and scale of the glaciers around us were unforgettable. To top it off, our descent took us along the iconic Heuberg Panorama Trail, offering a bird's-eye view of the turquoise lake below. 📊 Hike Details: 📍 Route: Oeschinen – Blüemlisalphütte – Wildi Frau – Heuberg – Kandersteg. 🏔️ Summits: Wildi Frau (3,218 m) & Blüemlisalp Hut (2,840 m). 📈 Difficulty: T4 (Alpine hike / Scrambling to Wildi Frau). ⏱️ Duration: 2 Days (Hut stay recommended). 🗺️ Region: Bernese Oberland, Switzerland.
