Zooming in on a Subject in Watercolor

As artists we are sometimes so focused on the panoramic scenes in front of us that we miss the small gems at our feet. Josh Clare, a well-known Utah artist said, "A small plot of grass or a splash of water can have the same positive effect as something like the Grand Canyon if painted with sincere feeling and intent." I am in total agreement with his statement. In this video I will demonstrate how cropping in on a photo can result in very powerful subjects.
