08 Suzuki gs500 revival part 2

More work on the 08 Suzuki gs500 revival project. In this video, I work through the process of putting the engine back together from work I did on my previous video on this bike. Re-seal the valve cover and breather cover and install them. Remove, clean ,re-seal and install the intake manifolds. Clean and rebuild both fuel petcocks. Including the fuel shut off under the tank and the on, reserve , prime selector. that has a built in vacuum actuated fuel shut off. Clean out the rusty fuel tank. Tank was pretty rusty inside so had to go to the next level and use concentrated vinegar with a hand full of screws to soak and shake all the rust off. Rinsed with baking soda and water, dried and inspected to make sure it can be used again. Installed the freshly cleaned and partially rebuilt carburetors. I say partially because I only used some of the new parts in the rebuild kit and re used the original jets and floats. These stock parts are much better in my opinion and just need a good clean, which I go over in my next video on rebuilding these carburetors. If interested look for that it will be out shortly. I skipped over installing the carburetors mostly because I felt the video was getting long and the process of getting the carburetors on is sometimes a lengthy complex job with a lot of fussing around getting it right.
