08 Suzuki gs500 revival part 1

Helping a friend revive his 2008 Suzuki gs500. In this video my prime objective is to verify if this bikes engine is healthy first before moving on to doing a full carburetor/fuel system clean and tune up. I want to get this bike up and running again so he can get it out on the road. First step is to check for spark. Do a compression test and check the valve clearances. If I'm satisfied with all 3 main items we can move on to the rest of the revival.
