A Pateira do Carregal recebeu esta tarde o 40.º Festival de Folclore

Pateira do Carregal hosted the 40th Folklore Festival this afternoon, one of the most emblematic cultural events of the Union of Parishes of Requeixo, Nossa Senhora de Fátima and Nariz. Organized by the Carregal Folklore Group, the event once again brought together hundreds of people in an atmosphere marked by the celebration of Portuguese traditions, reinforcing the role of popular culture in the region's identity. The festival began at 4 pm with a parade of participating groups, who brought color, movement and authenticity to the Pateira Park. The initiative, supported by the Union of Parishes and the Municipal Government, brought together groups from various parts of the country, highlighting the diversity of styles, costumes and cultural expressions present in this year's program. Among the invited groups were the Rancho Centro Cultural e Desportivo de Lobrigos (Santa Marta de Penaguião), the Rancho Infantil e Juvenil ADR Gandra (Ermesinde), the Grupo Folclórico e Etnográfico de Lordelo (Guimarães), and the Rancho Folclórico do Azinhal (Algarve). Each performance brought to the stage a vivid portrait of the traditions of their respective regions, providing the audience with a journey through the rich national ethnography. The afternoon was marked by great popular participation, with the venue packed with families, visitors, and folklore lovers who enjoyed the relaxed and festive atmosphere. The proximity to the natural space of Pateira reinforced the community character of the event, creating a welcoming atmosphere that further enhanced the groups' performances.
