After landing at Hang Nadim Airport in Batam, I headed straight to my hotel, the Aston Batam Hotel & Residences, located about 10 km from Hang Nadim Airport. I rested for a few hours, and in the afternoon, I stopped by the well-known souvenir center in Batam: the TOP 100 Supermarket located in Grand Mal Batam. This supermarket is very spacious and sells a variety of daily necessities, from food to household goods. They sell not only local products but also international products, especially from Asian countries, which are freely available, as Batam is essentially an Asian free market zone. After shopping at TOP 100, I headed straight to Barelang Seafood Restaurant, a seafood restaurant located on the side of Balerang Bridge. This restaurant is quite far from the center of Batam, about 20 km, and takes about 45 minutes by car.
