This trip was a long-awaited one: a visit to Papua, the easternmost island in the Indonesian archipelago. My destination was the city of Sorong in Southwest Papua. Despite my limited time, I still managed to explore the city. Fortunately, there was an interesting place not far from the Aston Sorong Hotel where I was staying: Pasar Remu Sorong, a traditional Papuan market that remains open until the evening.
