How do you safely accommodate an incredibly athletic primate inside a massive enclosure that has no roof? To alleviate house tension, keepers are moving Neva, a highly energetic Saki monkey, into an open-topped outdoor yard. There is just one major risk: Saki monkeys possess the unbelievable physical ability to leap 10 meters (over 30 feet) in a single bound, meaning she could easily bound completely out of the roofless area. Knowing the risk of her leaping too high, the maintenance team must act fast to adapt the environment. Watch as they carefully reduce the height of the trees, lowering the high branching to create a safer, mid-level network that accommodates her incredible jumping power.
