When two rival gangs of ring-tailed lemurs clash for the very first time, they don't use their teeth or claws to battle for territory. Keepers are attempting a highly tense integration, releasing three newly rescued males into a massive woodland enclosure already ruled by a dominant older trio. Separated only by a thin layer of wire mesh, the territorial tensions immediately begin to boil over. The males secrete a clear liquid from glands on their wrists, vigorously rub it directly into their tails, and aggressively wave the noxious scent at their rivals to prove exactly who runs the enclosure!
