Epic Universe Day 2 | Blue Dragon, Toothless & Dark Universe After Dark

For our second visit to Universal’s Epic Universe, we decided to slow things right down. We’d already done the big-ticket rides on our first day, so this visit was all about an afternoon entry, staying later into the evening, and actually taking the park in without rushing from place to place. We started with a 1pm lunch booking at Blue Dragon Asian Pan Restaurant, a decision entirely driven by me seeing the pot stickers online and immediately committing. No notes, would 100% recommend! After that, we headed into Super Nintendo World, which we shad skipped on our first visit, before continuing through to Donkey Kong Country to explore the area and ride Mine-Cart Madness. It’s a really fun little coaster and well worth doing and we liked this area more than Super Nintendo it was much more chill crowd wise but high energy vibe. Next up was the Isle of Berk, where we had what might be the most wholesome character meet we’ve ever done with Toothless. Fully recommend. Holli cried. As it got darker, we moved over to the Harry Potter Ministry of Magic area for another look around and a Butterbeer, don't get me started about straws in butter beer! before ending the night where we both agreed Epic Universe really shines… Dark Universe. We had a surprise interaction with Igor, and seeing Frankenstein’s Castle at night is genuinely something else. The atmosphere in this land after dark is unmatched and easily our favourite part of the park. We also re-rode a few favourites from our first visit, and this time, finally did Stardust Racers, which absolutely lived up to expectations. Overall, a really chilled Epic Universe afternoon and evening. Less about ticking boxes, more about atmosphere, food, characters, and enjoying the park at a slower pace.
