Exploring New Orleans French Quarter for the First Time | New Orleans Vlog 2025

First morning exploring The French Quarter and everything is perfect. The people, the food, the music, the history — we were completely under its spell. 😍 We’re staying at Hotel de la Poste right in the heart of the French Quarter — stunning hotel, perfect location, absolute 10 out of 10 find. Our friends have been here a few days already doing recon for us (legends), so we hit the ground running. First stop is Ruby Slipper for breakfast — except it’s rammed. The front of house legend on the door sends us to their bigger second location just a block away, we walk straight in, sorted. Then it’s a proper wander through the French Quarter taking in the Halloween decorations on the houses, before heading to the iconic Cafe Du Monde for the world famous beignets. If you know, you know. If you don’t — you’re about to. We head back to the hotel for a few hours to recharge, then Holli and I head back out to explore the city at night — independent shops, soaking up the atmosphere, and ending the evening at Napoleon House restaurant where Holli finally gets her hands on a beef po’boy and I go full local with a muffuletta sandwich. Back to the hotel to wind down watching Interview with a Vampire to see if we can spot the filming locations.
