There are two things you should be careful of. First, you don’t make fingers leap from the key! Second, hit the grace note with right on the click of metronome. Scoop is a similar effect to grace note, but adjusting your mouth chamber makes it. You start with bigger chamber of your mouth and make it a bit smaller, like saying ‘oh uh’. Make sure that you start with flatted pitch and get to the note that is in tune. If you do scoop by tightening lips, the tone you emphasize would be sharped and it would sound off the pitch.
