What is the ideal temperature? Should I boil the water or should I heat it until the first bubbles start to rise? When I started this non-barista journey, one of the first questions I had was "what is the ideal temperature to make coffee"? Well, there is no exact answer to this, but rather a logical one. Usually, my best results come with temperatures above 90ºC. However, between 90ºC and 100ºC a lot happens. The taste of the coffee changes COMPLETELY. In this video I explain how to make coffee in a more conscious way, taking into account the water temperature. The best of all worlds would be to have a kettle with temperature control to make coffee, but if that is not possible, there are simpler ways to regulate the extraction.
