Turbinoplasty: new way vs old way
In this video I discuss how turbinoplasty is performed. I describe the “old way” it used to be performed, by resecting the inferior turbinate. While usually a successful procedure it had the potential to cause a extremely frustrating and possibly permanent side effect, called “empty nose syndrome”. Submucosal resection of the turbinates has been around for over 30 years, but is a vastly superior method. If you like this video: subscribe to my channel!
