(HORNS!) WEEKEND BIKE CARS on the Stouffville Line??!!

THIS WAS AMAZING!!! A bike car train surprisingly went up to Old Elm at the end of service the night before the weekend of August 9-10, 2025, which resulted in bike cars running all weekend! In GO Transit history, this marks only the fourth time in which bike cars have been assigned to Old Elm, and the SECOND time in which bike cars operated on the Stouffville line on a weekend. The first time that both of these occurred was on a weekend just over a year ago, but I didn't film the bike cars because I wasn't aware that they were running. But I knew this time, so I had to see this train no matter what, as this is the rarest thing that could ever happen on the Stouffville line (bike cars are normally restricted to select Kitchener trips, the weekend Niagara trip(s), as well as one singular Barrie weekday trip). In addition to this rarity, what made this even more special was that the cab car was Old Cab Car 255, which has never led a train on the Stouffville line ever since it was put on the bike car train (except for the previous two appearances of bike cars on the Stouffville line, where it was leading westbound at 5:10 AM). The fact that the bike car train ran all weekend meant the first daylight appearance of 255 on the Stouffville line since June. The bike car train, originally scheduled to head up to Mount Joy, had to short turn at Unionville due to a track inspection forcing the closure of the tracks east of Unionville. Due to this, the train had to wait an hour before heading back south.
