I Sailed the Forgotten Waters Between India and Sri Lanka

In this video, I take the boat from India to Sri Lanka—a service that was shut down for 41 years and has only recently resumed. The journey begins in the coastal town of Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu. After clearing border control and security, I board the boat and find my seat on the top deck. I take you on a full tour of the ferry, showing the food and drink facilities, luggage storage, and bathrooms. I also try the breakfast provided by the ferry company. Once we arrive in Sri Lanka, I get my passport stamped and negotiate with a tuk-tuk driver for a ride to my hotel.
