"MALAYSIANS SO LAZY" - WHY IS WALKING SO HARD IN KUALA LUMPUR?!

“Malaysians SO LAZY. Never wanna walk.” I'm honestly so tired of hearing that. Malaysians want to walk, but even our capital city, Kuala Lumpur, isn't built for pedestrians. 😫 I know a lot of people think Malaysians refuse to walk because of the heat and humidity. BUT the point is, thousands of Malaysians don't have a choice but to walk because it's the most affordable option in a country where living costs are rising rapidly. 💸💸💸💸 But how lah to walk if the pavements are broken, go missing suddenly, the suburbs aren't connected, and even walking to the MRT, LRT, and Monorail stations can be impossible and dangerous because there are no pedestrian walkways to begin with! 😰 As someone who enjoys walking and believes that walking should be made accessible for EVERYONE, I really hope the Malaysian government makes a real effort to ensure the country becomes more pedestrian-friendly. Malaysians are not lazy; walking is just impossible and dangerous here. Sekian. 🙏🏽 #walking #kualalumpur #pedestrian #malaysia #bukitbintang
