It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, available in configurations of 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Classic eliminates joysticks in favor of a tactile directional pad and split L1/L2 and R1/R2 shoulder buttons. It includes an active cooling fan (not working on this pre-production unit), an X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback, a six-axis gyroscope, and supports dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. Connectivity options include a USB Type-C port with OTG support, a USB 2.0 OTG port, and a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The handheld weighs 227 grams and measures 156mm x 63mm x 18mm.
