Racing Against the Weather 🌦️ 💨 Allotment Gardening UK

The forecast was rain... but this was my very last chance to finish planting before we left for our holiday. Join me for a real day of allotment gardening as I build the final raised beds, fill them with fresh compost, plant out my remaining vegetable seedlings and flowers, and protect my brassicas with netting while the weather does it's own thing. This gardening experience quickly turned into a challenging battle against wind and rain, with several retreats to the shed before I finally decided to put on my waterproofs and keep going. Sometimes gardening isn't peaceful sunshine and perfect conditions. It's determination, muddy boots, soaking wet clothes, and simply refusing to give up. By the end of the day every crop was planted, every bed was finished, and the allotment was finally ready to look after itself while we were away.
