Plot catchup: 4 jobs and a thieving rabbit

It’s been a week of big harvests, new builds, and a few unexpected surprises up at the plot. After a crazy midsummer thunderstorm broke the recent heatwave, it was straight back to work catching up on the tasks that needed my attention. In this video, I’m tackling a few projects based on your recent comments, including putting together our blue water pipe net hoops to protect the sprouting broccoli and testing out some homemade terracotta olla pots for a bit of summer watering management. We’ve also got a massive garlic harvest to bring in early due to a sudden spot of rust, and a quick crop swap-out to keep the beds productive. Plus, we finally set up the wildlife camera to catch the culprit tampering with the fruit cage... and let’s just say there’s a new twist in the tale. Thank you so much for watching, sharing your advice in the comments, and being part of the journey on the new plot! 00:00 A new twist in the fruit cage 03:36 How we build our net hoops 07:25 A nice wee basket of tatties 08:17 Testing out homemade olla pots 13:22 An unexpected harvest swap-out 18:36 Dealing with garlic rust Our website: http://www.eliandkate.com/ Instagram:   / inthegardenwitheliandkate   TikTok:   / gardenwitheliandkate
