AW189 Ferry Flight to Esbjerg | Master Caution During Cruise
AW189 Ferry Flight | EHKD to EKEB | Master Caution in Cruise Welcome on board! Join my colleague Svend and me as we ferry an AW189 from our base in Den Helder (EHKD), the Netherlands, to our home base in Esbjerg (EKEB), Denmark. This flight came together at the last minute, so quickly, in fact, that Svend didn't even have time to collect his flight suit! Fortunately, that's not a problem on a ferry flight. During the cruise phase, we received a CAS message accompanied by a Master Caution indication. In this video, you'll see how we assessed the situation, applied the appropriate procedures, and continued the flight safely. Later in the video, I provide additional context about the event, what caused it, and how we generally manage cautions and abnormal situations in helicopter operations. The remainder of the flight was uneventful, ending with a VFR arrival into Esbjerg (EKEB). If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to leave a comment—I read every one of them. If you enjoy professional helicopter operations and real-world AW189 content, please consider subscribing and enabling notifications so you don't miss future videos. Thank you for watching and enjoy the flight! About this channel: I’m a full-time offshore helicopter pilot and certified TRI/TRE on both the AW189 and AW139.
