Articulated Goldie, Holsinger's Fly Shop, Epispode 491

The Articulated Goldie is a streamer pattern I stumbled across a while back and then forgot about. I was going through a list of potential flies for videos I made a while back and saw this on the list and decided to tie a few up. I'll be taking them out this weekend for a bass fishing trip to the river but I will also have them along with me this winter when I start chasing steelhead again. It is a rather large streamer which can look like a big undertaking to a beginner tier but it is actually a streamer that is made with a few simple techniques put together to create a rather simple fly pattern. If you like the looks of this fly, please head over to https://www.holsingersflyshop.com for any of the materials you might need to tie this pattern for yourself. Like always, feel free to change the size and color of this pattern to match the baitfish in your area. Have fun tying and if you have any questions or would like me to tie some of these for you, please reach out to me at [email protected]. Thanks for watching. -Shawn Materials List: Firehole 811 Size 6 Firehole 839 Size 6 Tungsten Conehead XL Gold .025 Lead Wire 140 Denier UTC Thread White Strung Marabou White Krystal Flash Gold Schlappen or Saddle Hackle White UV Polar Chenille Medium Gold 50 Lb Seagur Braided Line SLF Prism Pearl
