R2R2R with a Newbie Across the Grand Canyon and Back - How did she do???

Two newbies came along on the ride for this classic route across the Grand Canyon. For Mauri, it would exceed her longest effort to date, a marathon, by 20 miles. It was a great training day - and super quiet in terms of traffic. Temperatures were cool and there was snow on the North Rim. We opted for the South Kaibab route down to Phantom Ranch and hoped to get this done within a day's time. It would be my third time doing R2R2R. How do you think Mauri did surviving???
