Williams, Arizona is one of the best preserved towns on Historic Route 66, filled with classic neon signs, vintage gas stations, murals, and old west charm. We spend the evening exploring the town before boarding the Grand Canyon Railway, a historic train that has been taking passengers from Williams to the South Rim since 1901. We ride in the Mary Colter Luxury Dome Car, enjoy breakfast and champagne on the train, experience live music and even a staged Old West train robbery along the way. Once we arrive at Grand Canyon National Park, and meet up with our friend ‪@MarkCormier‬, we visit iconic locations including Bright Angel Trail, Bright Angel Lodge, Lookout Studio, and the historic El Tovar Hotel. We even walk part of the Bright Angel Trail and revisit the exact spot where we first saw the Grand Canyon 20 years ago. But the big question is: Is the Grand Canyon Railway worth it?
