9th Century Viking Ring Reproduction in Pure Silver
A reproduction of a 9th century Viking "hacksilver" ring. The original was found in Preston (Lancashire), England. Subsequently donated to the British Museum by Queen Victoria. Acquisition date 1841. Presented through the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. Museum number 1841,0711.588. From start to finish: Melting, pouring, hammering, milling, annealing, twisting, soldering, filing, sanding and polishing. Enjoy. Any questions, let me know.
