Jeju Air 2216 Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) Transcripts & Flight Data Recorder (FDR)... WORTHLESS.

CORRECTIONS: After further investigation, lots of great comments from our audience and lots of time spent pondering this perplexing situation, I have changed my position to the following: 1.) The Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and ADS-B data do not have alternate power sources when both engines driven generators are knocked offline by either birds or the pilots shutting the engine down. 2.) The APU would have powered everything if it had been turned on, clearly it was not activated and connected to the busses. 3.) There is no conspiracy here...the Minister of Transportation appears to be embarrassed and ashamed and is not covering anything up. 4.) We still do not know everything there is to know about this accident, and not having the CVR, FDR and ADS-B data is extremely disappointing and will set this investigation back months or years. 5.) The investigators will now need to rebuild the aircraft from the cockpit backwards to learn about the state of the engines, the position of the switches, (ie. fire handles, fuel controls swithches, flap handle, gear handle, auto brakes, speed brake handle, etc.) This will tell whether or not the pilots did everything possible to get the aircraft down safely or were they rushing and missing lots of steps due to the engines being so badly damaged or shut down inadvertently. 6.) ONLY TIME AND A SOLID INVESTIGATION WILL REVEAL THE WHOLE TRUTH OF WHAT HAPPENED TO JEJU 2216.
