Mount Townsend - Olympic National Forest

The hike to Mount Townsend is rated 'Hard'. 9+ miles with over 3000 feet in elevation gain, which is nearly 2 and a half times as tall as the Empire State Building and roughly 3 times the height of the Eiffel Tower. Two mountain summits: the south peak and then I pressed on further to stand on the north peak as well. The views were incredible and worth every step!! "The Sound of Music" played in my head while hiking the ridge. All 5 of Washington's active volcanoes were visible from up there.
