The story of the Great Lakes straight deck freighter Ojibway begins not in 1952 when she was launched. It actually begins in the Indian Ocean at the height of World War II. In this video we'll see what and how that is. Then we'll follow the 70 career of this vessel. Multiple times she faced the prospect of being scrapped, yet lived to sail on. Now, however, she is gone forever from the lakes. No longer will we see her and admire her elegant lines.
