CLASSIC FREIGHTER FINAL ARRIVAL - 82 years of service
The Final Voyage of the MV Cuyahoga (1943–2025) After 82 years of service on the Great Lakes, the iconic MV Cuyahoga has taken her last journey under tow from Ashtabula, Ohio to Port Colborne, Ontario, where she will be scrapped at Marine Recycling. This video captures breathtaking drone footage of the historic laker’s final moments on Lake Erie, escorted by tugboat toward her final berth. Once a hardworking bulk freighter, the Cuyahoga is one of the last classic straight-deckers of her kind, originally launched in 1943 during World War II. Watch as we document this emotional and visually striking end to a long and storied career.
