Zelfbouw Camper Keuken Deel 2/2 - Hoe maken wij onze camper keuken? Tips, fouten en een bouwtekening

We will finish our self-built campervan kitchen in this second episode. Building a campervan kitchen is an exciting job and many choices have to be made. We have determined the position of the kitchen and all dimensions are correct after some adjustments. We also place a gas hob, a normal household tap and the refrigerator also goes into the kitchen! Our DIY camper kitchen took about 3 weeks to built. Much longer than we initially planned. We are very happy with the end result. In particular, the slanted corner in the kitchen, which simplifies the passage. We made the kitchen from MDF, because the finish of that is beautiful. But in the future we would opt for Poplar or Birch Multiplex. This is because MDF splits quickly and many connections become less sturdy as a result. For that reason, we have made some connections with plywood to guarantee the sturdiness of the structure. With the 15 degree angle tool, almost all screws have been hidden and this ensures a nice end result. We also attached the kitchen to the metalwork of the bus. For example, it is fixed in the body of the side of the motorhome and through the bottom.
