Surface Iron Fishing Giant Yellowtail in Kelp!

We set out to target the biggest yellowtail of our trip at Cedros Island, throwing surface irons into some of the heaviest structure and thickest kelp we've ever fished. These fish pushed us to our absolute limits. Time after time they buried us deep in the kelp, turning every hookup into an all-out battle, but somehow we managed to pull most of them free and get them to the boat. We released the majority of the fish we landed, including several giants pushing 35+ pounds. And the craziest part? This is only Part 1 of our final day fishing Cedros Island.
