Conceived as a modern sanctuary, the home rests lightly on its remote site, accessible only by water. Mason & Wales Architects have created a structure that is both sculptural and grounded, a series of low, interlocking pavilions that follow the contours of the land [01:05]. The palette draws directly from the landscape: schist, timber and glass come together to mirror the textures and tones of the surrounding mountain and lake environment [01:52].
