Set on a remote stretch of New Zealand coastline, Ti Point House by Crosson Architects is designed to recede gently into the land — a refined response to site, material, and climate. Ti Point House by Crosson Architects is a coastal home designed to settle quietly into the landscape above Leigh, New Zealand. Occupying a remarkable site overlooking the coastline, the house approaches its setting with a sense of restraint. Rather than announcing itself, it reveals its presence gradually — embedded within the contours of the land and shaped by its relationship to place. A palette of stone and dark timber allows the building to recede into the hillside, while gently curved forms cup and shelter a series of outdoor spaces. The home is composed as a sequence of connected volumes, each carefully oriented to frame different views across the surrounding landscape and coastline.
