Ep. 3: Surface Iron Yellowtail | Run & Gun!

Driving down to Bahía de Los Ángeles has been a bucket list fishing trip of mine for a long long time! Fishing aboard the Tony Reyes Mothership was an amazing trip and a great way to get my feet wet in the Sea of Cortez. Actually staying in a small fishing village and seeing the culture first hand is a whole different experience! From the road trip there, to the scenery, the amazing food, and everything that comes with the journey there! The incredible fishing, is just a bonus! Such a fun morning of fishing with Captain Nego with Joel Jr Sportfishing for Yellowtail! Ended up running into a handful of decent stops for yellowtail fishing on surface irons and stickbaits! Broke my PB with my first fish of the day with a 30.4 lb yellowtail! After that, it wasn't long before we found a few more good bird schools back to back and was able to pick off quite a few yellowtail pretty quickly! This was only the beginning of the morning, and a TROPHY CABRILLA was caught shortly after by Joe! Make sure to tune into the next episode to see!
