TV Content Ratings are Irrelevant

TV content ratings over the years have become more redundant and irrelevant, due to changing standards in content and media, as well as society as a whole and what we see as acceptable or controversial. The strict broadcast television rules have been a major obstacle for years, and the advertisers are also at fault for holding anti-censorship hostage. Since the beginning, the TV parental guidelines have been based on American cultural standards rather than the amount of mature content featured in the programs, as you can see why almost every classic TV show is rated TV-G regardless of the content. The more you think about this, you realize all this censorship nanny state baloney could be averted if people knew how to parent or you know, just not be Karens and ruin the fun for everyone else. You know, maybe don’t project your own views onto others? The old saying goes, “If you don’t like it, don’t watch it”. Honestly I thought we would be past this point in society by now.
