History Of American TV Parental Guideline Ratings
American T.V. Parental Guideline Ratings (what a name) premiered in 1997. Before that, however, T.V. shows were unrated. This video discusses American TV Parental Guidelines, why the ratings were needed, and a history of American T.V. T.V. Parental Guideline Ratings include TV-Y, TV Y-7, TV-Y7 (FV), TV-G, TV-PG, TV-14, and TV-MA. While similar to movie ratings, the T.V. Parental Guideline Ratings have several differences. My name is Jameson Thomas. On this channel, Media Influence, I discuss how media has influenced the audience. We've all seen T.V. Parental Guidelines pop up, but not a lot of us have thought much about them. This video summarizes the history and need for the T.C. Parental Guideline Ratings. This video includes a generalized history, as this subject is complicated. Or at least, I thought so. Thank you for watching! If you enjoyed, please subscribe! The official American T.V. Guideline website can be found here - http://www.tvguidelines.org/ My Instagram - www.instagram.com/itsjamesonthomas #tvparentialguidelines #tvratings #tv
