Emil Schmeckenbecher H-65, Time & Strike movement, Part 2

This is the second and final video on this movement. I bought this movement without a case, dial, pendulum or weights - those I had to find separately over time. The whole project took more than three months to finish - never believe that a video can accurately portray how long a process took to finish. There were many little hiccups along the way, and I only showed a few to not make the videos longer than they already are. I am not a qualified clock maker; I'm an enthusiast at best whose heart skips a beat at the prospect of owning a "new" old clock. There are brilliant, qualified clockmakers on this platform and I learn from them as well, and I would encourage viewers to watch their videos too - James Martin is one of my heroes. If he can't fix a clock, then I don't think it can be fixed. I decided to build the case out of Douglas Fir (also called Oregon Pine in my country). I managed to get some that was taken out of an old house. It has heaps of character, and I am pleased how the case turned out, I hope you are too.
