Today we're out on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) trip on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Moselle River, passing steep vineyards, unspoiled banks, and inviting wine villages. The SUP tour covers 18 km. What the Moselle loses in flow velocity due to its dams, it more than makes up for with the beautiful surrounding scenery. We followed the route described by the local canoe and kayak tour operator, Moseltours. In this section, the Moselle meanders from Ediger-Eller, before reaching the Calmont hill, in beautiful loops past Beilstein to Ernst, which is 2 km before Cochem. Since the Moselle is dammed at intervals, you don't need to worry about water levels and always have plenty of water under your fin. . ...
