Mit dem ORU Kajak auf dem Rhein - Alpenrhein bis Mittelrhein

I bought an Oru folding canoe with the goal of paddling down the Rhine. I started in the Rhine Gorge near Versam (Graubünden, Switzerland). I paddled down the Alpine Rhine through the Rhine Valley to Rheineck. From there, I crossed the Old Rhine to Rheinspitz near Altenrhein and into Lake Constance. I took the train from Arbon to Konstanz, as Lake Constance is not the Rhine, but a lake. From Konstanz at kilometer 0 of the Rhine, I continued by kayak on the High Rhine to Reichenau Island, past Stein am Rhein, the Rhine Falls, around Rheinau Island to Rheinfelden, and then to Basel. From there, I continued on the Upper Rhine to Rhinau (France), with the goal of sailing to Strasbourg. Since the weather forecast only predicted rain, and I didn't want to go home yet, I decided to pack up the canoe and take the train to Mainz. From there, I paddled down the Middle Rhine through the Rhine Valley to Koblenz.
