The Journey Almost Killed Me… But Look at This! | Andrab Lake Kalam | Swat EP:10 This is my journey from Mahodand Lake to Andrab Lake. In this video, you will also see Blue Water before reaching Andrab Lake. Most people visit Andrab Lake from Kalam via Utror, but I started my journey from Mahodand Lake to explore Andrab Lake in a different way. The common route to Andrab Lake is from Kalam to Utror, and then a track goes towards Andrab Lake. It usually takes more than 4 hours by bike or jeep to reach Andrab Lake from Kalam. After the recent floods, the road towards Andrab Lake has been badly damaged, making the journey to Andrab Lake more difficult and challenging. Before reaching Utror bridge, you have to take a right turn towards Andrab Lake. From that point, Blue Water is 3 km away, and Andrab Lake is about 18 km from there. The road condition towards Andrab Lake is very rough, and after Blue Water, there is almost no proper road left. Blue Water is a very beautiful spot on the way to Andrab Lake. The water has a natural blue color, and there are small huts where people can sit and enjoy food near the river. Because it was off-season, there were no tourists or locals at Blue Water near Andrab Lake. I stayed there for a while and enjoyed the peaceful environment. After Blue Water, the real challenge of reaching Andrab Lake begins. The road becomes extremely difficult, and in many places, there is no road at all. I was traveling solo on my bike towards Andrab Lake, and it was very tough. I had to stop many times to cool down my bike, and on steep climbs, I had to push the bike manually. The views on the way to Andrab Lake are stunning. There are rivers, mountains, and beautiful landscapes all around. Even though the journey to Andrab Lake is very hard, the beauty of Andrab Lake makes it completely worth it. After about 3.5 hours of riding, I reached the base camp of Andrab Lake. From there, the hike to Andrab Lake starts. If the weather is clear, jeeps can go a little further, but mostly you have to hike to reach Andrab Lake. The hiking trail to Andrab Lake is easy at the beginning but becomes challenging later. You have to cross big black rocks, and there are small signs to guide you. After around 1.5 hours of hiking, I finally reached Andrab Lake. When I saw Andrab Lake, all my tiredness disappeared. Andrab Lake is extremely beautiful and peaceful. Andrab Lake is located at an altitude of about 11,000 feet, and it is one of the most stunning hidden places in this region. I spent about one hour at Andrab Lake and really enjoyed the view. On my way back from Andrab Lake, I lost my way in the rocky area. I was stuck there for almost one hour and couldn’t find the correct path. It was a very scary and challenging moment during my Andrab Lake journey, especially because I was alone. It was getting dark, and I was worried, but thankfully I managed to find my way back. I reached my bike near the base camp of Andrab Lake and continued my journey back to Utror. I reached Utror late at night and stayed there. Overall, Andrab Lake is a very beautiful lake, but reaching Andrab Lake is not easy. The more difficult the journey, the more beautiful the destination — and Andrab Lake is the perfect example of that. I strongly recommend not traveling solo to Andrab Lake, especially in off-season.
