Juneteenth Backpack Trip to Green Ridge Forest//Trail Chasers 2026

First I have to thank God for the fitness and ability to do this type of trip with over 50 years of age. Without him, none of this would be possible... We spent 4 days backpacking the Paw Paw Trail along the C&O Canal — from the towpath in Maryland into the mountains of West Virginia and back out through a 3,118-foot hand-carved tunnel built in the 1850s. Seven people. Primitive campsites. Downed trees, stream crossings, a briar bush, a ridge with a view, a walkie talkie water scouting mission, and a full concert inside a mountain tunnel. Oh — and it was Juneteenth. This one's hard to put into words. You just gotta peep it. This is my first mini-documentary. Let me know what you think! If you dig it, subscribe for more adventures.
