Bowscale Fell/Blencathra Day Walk, 24/9/25

A day walk taking in all the best features of Bowscale Fell and Blencathra, in the northern Lake District. As well as the summits, of which Blencathra has two, Atkinson Pike and Halsfell Top, I walk the Caldew Valley, visit Bowscale Tarn, traverse the edge of Bannerdale Crags, view Sharp Edge from both sides, and descend via Scales and Souther Fells, enjoying stunning views for most of the day.
