Why This Langdale Walk is My Absolute Favourite - 4 Wainwrights Challenge

This hike starts with an easy 2.5km valley walk before the ascent up to Rossett Pike. Once there, excellent views down Langdale Valley can be achieved. We leave to head past Angle Tarn to Allen Crags. This is an easy walk and chance to gain our preath after the long up to Rossett Pike. Allen Crags opens up views to further valleys and is only a short walk from the main route. Esk Pike beckons high above Angle Tarn. The walk up has a couple of rocky ascents and offers excellent views to the right of the climbs. Bowfell is within easy walking distance from Esk Pike and has its own rocky climb before we make our way down to The Band and back to Old Dungeon Ghyll.
