CN 8000 East With BC Rail 4648 in it’s Original Paint on their former EJ&E Matteson Subdivision

CN 8000, the class unit in CN’s order of twenty-five SD70M-2’s delivered in 2005 leads BC Rail 4648, a Dash 9-44CW that was built in 2000 lead a 144 car train as they come through Dyer, IN. Dyer Crossing is found here where this former EJ&E line crosses CSX’s Monon Subdivision. You’ll see the train take and knock down the clear signal at the crossing. BC Rail 4648 still wears its as delivered paint scheme despite CN having taken over the railroad in 2004 and this locomotive being twenty-six yearsold. It’s a bit dirty but still looks pretty good. T At the end of this video you’ll hear a crew member of the 8000 call for and receive permission to enter and proceed through the limits of Foreman Conrad’s Rule 1102 planned work limits on under General Bulletin Order (GBO) number 2491.
