A barrier of reeds, called a bardizo, has been the method used by the traditional gardeners of Utebo (Zaragoza) and other towns to protect their crops from the force of the wind. In 2012 Julio Soriano prepared the reeds and fences with which to delimit and protect a plot that he wanted to dedicate to planting tomatoes.
